When you visit this site, we and/or Erie Insurance Group, the insurer we represent through this site (collectively, “We”) may collect information from you. For example, if you report a claim through this site, We will record your policy number and the type of claim. If you use our Quick Quote or Detailed Quote functions to obtain a quote on insurance, We will collect the items of information that you are asked to provide as part of the quote process. In the case of a Detailed Quote, We will also obtain a credit-based insurance score from a consumer reporting agency.
As part of the quoting process, you will be given the opportunity to save a quote, or information you have submitted as part of the quote process, for your later retrieval. If you do so, the information will be saved and may be used later as part of the quoting process or to provide you with insurance you request. It may also be shared among us, if you choose to purchase insurance as a result of a quote provided to you. If you do not save the information, We will retain the information and it may be used by us for research and analytical purposes, but your information will not be disclosed.
We do not collect personally identifiable information from you through this site without you knowing about it. If you are ever asked for personal information as part of your visit to this site and you do not want to provide that information, simply do not proceed with that function.
